Is a platform bed the way to go?

C00k13& asked: Im moving and along with moving im buying a new bed for my room im just wondering if a platform bed is just as comfortable as a normal bed and im a little scared that if someone too fat jumped onto my bed would it break ?
also would a platform bed be cheaper [...]
